HER SOUND
If Jeff Tweedy, Chrissie Hynde, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Jack White,
Polly Jean Harvey, and the Shins had an orgy, chances are an Audrey Howard love
child would be created. A rocker at heart having an ever-deepening affair with
alt-country pop, Audrey's biggest talent is to enthrall her audience with her
passionate performances.
HER STORY
Audrey Rose Howard was born in 1976 in western Massachusetts and was reared on
classical music and Bob Dylan lps. In school she was a lead both as a jazz
saxophonist and as a character actor on the stage. While majoring in acting at
Northwestern University she was developing a new passion = songwriting. Audrey
moved to S.F. in 1998 and completed her first cd - the bedroom-recorded
"Mischief" which was spun with love on the juke box at her local pub.
She then created the power-pop trio "Strumpet" which spawned the e.p.
"Phase" featuring the hit punk number, "Chatter." Feeling
the drive to create her own project, Audrey left the band and recorded
"Summer Thunder," her most ambitious and elegant work to-date. These
days, you can find her performing on local radio and around the Bay Area solo
or with her trio, "Audrey Come Lately," as she gears up to take her
place as the next female rock prodigy.

Audrey Come Lately
Indie rock & alt-country pop
Start with an alt-country-power-pop rock base, add a dash of folk, sprinkle some
punk into the mix, and you will create Audrey Come Lately. Smart lyrics and
melodies make an ACL concert uniquely fun and appealing. Hard-hitting drummer
Lisa Young inflicts a heavy groove while bassist Brandon Chaves brings his own
flavor with smatterings of keyboards and laptop samples.
